Kabul (BNA) As many as 62 armed oppositions including their several local commanders were during military operations conducted by Afghan security forces in two provinces of the country.
Yahya Alawi spokesman of 205 Atal army corps told BNA correspondent, the military operations have been launched to suppress armed rebels and protect the lives and properties of local people in various parts of Marouf district, Kandahar province and Shahjoy district, Zabul province.
Mullah Naqibullah a key commander of Taliban and several local commanders of the terrorist group were killed during the operations, Alawi added.
