Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Defense says that 209 Taliban militants were killed in clashes with government forces overnight.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense press office yesterday said, during this period, 129 other members of this group were wounded and a large number of Taliban ammunition and weapons were destroyed.
Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in clashes with defense security forces in Logar, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Farah, Herat, Balkh, Helmand, Kunduz, Baghlan and Kapisa.
Defense ministry also said that 15 different types of mines planted by the Taliban in different parts of the country to target civilians and security forces had been discovered and defused.
