22 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Zabul Airstrike

Kabul (BNA) Twenty-two insurgents were killed in an airstrike in Mizan district of Zabul last night.
Ruhollah Ahmadzai, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, told BNA that the air force targeted a Taliban rally in Mizan district of Zabul province, killing 22 Taliban and wounded 8 others.
Also in this air attack, 3 vehicles, 10 motorcycles, some of their weapons, ammunition and equipment were destroyed.
In Helmand, the Taliban also suffered casualties, the Ministry of Defense says: Twenty-three armed Taliban were killed last night in an operation by security and defense forces in Gereshk District, Helmand.
The operation was launched with the support of the air force in the Gereshk district of Helmand province, killing 23 insurgents and wounding 12 others.
Also in this operation, 3 motorcycles, 6 hideouts, 5 positions, 22 miles of various weapons, and 8 enemy communication bases were destroyed.
Based on another report, fifty-seven Taliban insurgents were killed in operations by security and defense forces in four districts of Kandahar.
Ruhollah Ahmadzai, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, told BNA that security and defense forces, with the support of the air force, launched a clearing operation in Panjwai, Ghork, Khakriz and Zheri districts of Kandahar, killing 57 insurgents, and 11 others were injured..
Also in these operations, some weapons, ammunition and explosives of the enemy were destroyed.
