Kabul (BNA) At least 23 Armed Insurgents were killed during the latest clashes in Nooristan province and scores of them were wounded.
A senior border police commander in the east of the country told BNA, the incident took place while armed Taliban targeted military convoy in Komdish and Want-Waygel districts of Nooristan province, in which 16 armed rebels were killed by security forces.
According to another report, 7 armed insurgents were killed in Kunar and Nooristan borders.
The rebels wanted to conduct attack on passenger’s convoys shot dead by security forces.
Also weapons hideout of armed insurgents were also discovered.
