Kabul (BNA) More than 24 anti-government militias were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in eastern Paktika province the other day.
Shah Mahmoud Arian spokesman of Paktika’s police told, a group of Taliban fighters storm on Afghan national police personnel’s checkpoints in AtaKhona region, Amena district of the province, as a result 24 rebels were killed and 12 more were wounded.
Three Afghan national policemen lost their lives and four others were wounded following the attack, Arian added.
Some heavy and light weapons belonged to Taliban fighters have seized by Afghan security forces, Arian further added.
Taliban said nothing about the incident so far.
