Kabul (BNA) As many as 251 anti-government militias were killed during clashes and reciprocal attacks of Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in 12 provinces within the last 24 hours.
Ministry of National Defense by releasing a statement issued BNA, the conflicts and assaults took place in various parts of Ghazni, Logar, Zabul, Kandahar, Urozgan, Farah, Herat, Sar-e-Pul, Nimroz, Kunduz, Helmand and Baghlan provinces.
The statement added, 193 insurgents were wounded and some weapons and ammunitions belonged to the rebels have been destroyed following the clashes and attacks.
Meanwhile, 68 different type of mines have been discovered and naturalized by Afghan security forces in various parts of the country.
The mines have been planted by Taliban fighters to target innocent civilians and Afghan security forces.
