Kabul (BNA) The 34th uprising anniversary of Chendawol residents and 6th death anniversary of the leader of uprising of Chendawol people observed in international press center of ministry of information and culture.
Chendawol people on 2nd of Saratan 1358 stood against the invasion of Soviet red army and with bravery recorded the day in great history of their country.
According to BNA in the ceremony held at the beginning the message of Dr. Sayed Makhdom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture was readout by Afsar Rahbeen head of the cultural department of the ministry in part of the message says, I convey my condolences to the families of those martyred on the 2nd of Saratan 1358 uprising of Chendawol people against the communist regime that led to martyrdom of tens of our countrymen and pray for those who lost their lives in this righteous uprising in defense of independence of our country.
Afterwards, Dr. Abass Baser the chief of office of the 2nd vice president talking about the bravery of people against the aggressors said that the Chendawol uprising commenced political and social changes and opened a new chapter in fight for independence and freedom of the country that was ruled by dictatorial regime supported by foreigners.
Meanwhile Qurban Ali Erfani a member of Lower House talking on the occasion said that Chendawol uprising encouraged people to stand against the aggressors.
Therefore, such braveries should be remembered and observed across the country.
Also some participants of the gathering talked about the peculiarities of Chendawol uprising.
