Acting Minister Khairkhwa Meets Turkish Ambassador to Kabul

Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa met with Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan Cihad Erginay in his office yesterday.

According to BNA report, during the meeting, Turkish Ambassador said that Turkey and Afghanistan have a long and historic relationship and expressed his country’s readiness to assist and cooperate with Afghanistan in various fields.

Cihad Erginay assured that Turkey is ready to continue its full cooperation with Afghanistan in the fields of culture, economy, education, higher education and other important fields.

Erginay added that Turkey has implemented many development projects in Afghanistan over the past five years and is still ready to assist Afghanistan in the preservation and reconstruction of historical monuments.

Turkish Ambassador thanked the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for providing a safe environment and working facilities for foreign journalists and expressed readiness to cooperate in the conduct of Kabul International Airport.

In the meeting, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, emphasized the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries and thanked Turkey for its assistance and cooperation in reactivating the Kabul International Airport and other important areas.

Turkey and Afghanistan are brotherly countries and have a lot in common and ancient ties in the Islamic world, we count on Turkey and we must work together to bring the two countries closer, acting minister Khairkhwa added.

The Acting Minister of Information and Culture also asked the Turkish Ambassador to work with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan through his media to present a positive image of Afghanistan to the world.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides pledged to cooperate in various fields.
