AFF: Afghanistan Champions League Postponed

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has postponed the second round of Afghanistan Champions League.

According to BNA report, after careful and overall considerations, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has issued an official statement to inform all football fans, media outlets, and the 12 presented teams in the ACL that the second round of the league has been postponed due to the sensitivity and importance of the upcoming matches of the National Football Team for the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifications.

The Afghanistan National Football Team is scheduled to have a 10-day visit to UAE on May 20 to attend a training camp and have two friendly matches against Indonesia and Singapore.

The National Football Team will also arrive in Qatar on May 30 to take preparation for the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Bangladesh (June 3), Oman (June 11), and India (June 15).

This comes as the second round of the ACL competitions will be held on 20th June, with the participation of all 12 teams, hosted by Kabul.
