Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 1,597 new positive cases of COVID-19 out 4,587 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
According to BNA report, the ministry reported 85 deaths and 471 recoveries from COVID-19 in the same period.
The ministry says the cumulative total of known COVID-19 cases is 91,458, the total number of reported deaths is 3,356 and the total number of recoveries is 61,410.
According to worldometers, so far 528,037 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 25,395 known active COVID-19 cases in the country.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 3,795,577 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 175,671,781, according to Johns Hopkins University.
