Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has learned with deep regret about the killing of the Italian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Luca Attanasio, along with one of his colleagues and a World Food Program driver on Monday during a visit to the eastern part of the African country, a statement said.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Haneef Atmar conveys his deepest condolences to his Italian counterpart, Luigi Di Maio, expressing his grief at the tragic killing of the late ambassador and his colleagues, the MoFA statement said.
