Afghanistan Records Highest Daily COVID-19 Deaths Toll in Second Wave

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan has recorded 232 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total cases to 48,133 on Monday.

Officials in ministry of public health reported, with 27 new deaths in the last 24 hours, the toll has mounted to 1,902.

The total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the country stands at 7,737, as of Monday.

The total discharged cases are at 37,984 with 202 new discharges in the last 24 hours.

It is mentionable that until now 160,161 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 67,118,222 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,535,255 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
