Afghanistan Reports 1724 New Cases of COVID-19, 54 Deaths

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 1,724 new positive cases of COVID-19 out 4,959 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
According to BNA report, the ministry reported 54 deaths and 571 recoveries from COVID-19 in the same period.
The ministry says the cumulative total of known COVID-19 cases is 84,050, the total number of reported deaths is 3,305 and the total number of recoveries is 59,569.
According to worldometers, so far 506,424 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 20,077 known active COVID-19 cases in the country.
The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 3,737,523 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 173,643,616, according to Johns Hopkins University.
