Afghanistan Reports 92 Deaths, 1,272 New Cases of COVID-19

Kabul (BNA) Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 1,272 new positive cases of COVID-19 out of 4,670 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

According to BNA report, the ministry reported 92 deaths and 935 recoveries from COVID-19 in the same period.

The ministry says the cumulative total of known COVID-19 cases is 124,757, the total number of reported deaths is 5,199 and the total number of recoveries is 73,635.

According to Worldometers, so far 621,541 samples have been tested in government centers and there are 45,678 known active COVID-19 cases in the country.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 3,964,861 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 183,124,067, according to Johns Hopkins University.
