Afghans Unprecedentedly Increase In Bulgaria, Ambassador

Kabul (BNA) Dr. Jamahir Anwari, minister of refugees and repatriates in a meeting held yesterday with Bulgarian ambassador to Kabul Nikoy Yankov said due to inappropriate conditions in a number of Afghanistan provinces, huge mass of Afghans were living as refugees in various countries of the world despite the fact that Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in particular ministry of refugees and repatriates was making efforts to pave the ways for its citizens to return to their country with dignity.
Bulgarian ambassador to Kabul while considering responsibility of MoRR particularly Afghan refugees as challenging said recently a large number of Afghans had unprecedentedly increased in Bulgaria.
He added although no formal agreement had been signed between Bulgaria and Afghanistan in connection with refugees, but his country’s government was making efforts to sign a bilateral agreement with ministry of refugees and repatriates of Afghanistan for legalizing the presence of Afghans in Bulgaria.
According to Bulgarian ambassador to Kabul, those refugees who were entering to Bulgaria were trying to use its route transit for reaching West Europe and this has made European Union to put pressure on Bulgarian government for protection its borders.
Dr. Jamahir Anwari while praising Bulgarian embassy to Kabul for its interest in this regard said ministry of refugees and repatriates was ready for supporting the step and would make serious efforts in implementation of the goal.
