Kabul (BNA) Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) succeeded to discover and confiscate 70 round of different type of mines in Farah province within the last one month.
Muhibullah Muhib spokesman of Farah police chief reported BNA correspondent, the mines have been discovered and neutralized during dozens military operations conducted by Afghan security forces in various parts of PashtRoud, AnarDara districts and Farah city.
Several storage of explosive materials have been seized during the military operation as well, Muhib added.
By discovering and confiscating the mines dozens bloodiest incidents have been prevented in the mentioned areas, Muhib further added.
Security officials in Farah claimed that Taliban fighters are responsible for the foiled mine plantings.
