Arghandab District of Kandahar After The War; The Government is Rebuilding the District

Kandahar (BNA) The Afghan government wants to rebuild Arghandab district of Kandahar which has recently been cleared from Taliban insurgents.
Millions of dollars are to be spent on implementing dozens of development projects in Arghandab.
According to reports, during the presence of the Taliban and the group’s war with security forces, most of Arghandab district infrastructure was destroyed and needed to be rebuilt.
Mujeeb-ul-Rehman Karimi, acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, told BNA that 138 development projects worth 10 million dollars are to be implemented in Arghandab district of Kandahar.
This money is paid by the Asian Development Bank.
This money is to be spent on the growth and development of education, agriculture, health, governance and job creation in Arghandab.
At least a year later, Arghandab district of Kandahar has witnessed one of the bloodiest battles.
