Around 9,000 families in 16 provinces received assistance

KABUL (BNA) The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations newsed distributing of humanitarian aid to 8,701 needy families in 16 provinces, since past week.

The ministry stated in a press release today that the Refugees and Repatriations Departments provided assistance to 8,701 needy families in Kunduz, Jawzjan, Oruzgan, Helmand, Laghman, Samangan, Kabul, Takhar, Kandahar, Khost, Ghor and Nangarhar over the past week, Badghis , Maidan Wardak, Logar and Balkh foodstuffs and non-foodstuffs.

According to the Ministry, the families were displaced by the war and natural disasters, and a number of poor families, people with disabilities, orphans, and widows were included in process.

The humanitarian aid, which included food, cash, family and medical packages and kitchenware, was distributed by the departments of Refugee and Repatriation in collaboration along with many international aiding organizations.
