Taliqan (BNA) Afghan Security Forces destroyed several Taliban checkpoints and bases in Chahab district of Takhar.
Mohammad Ibrahim Durandish, commander of Takhar Police Command, told BNA that several Taliban checkpoints and bases were destroyed in clashes between security forces and Taliban in Chahab district of the province.
According to Durandish, a large amount of Taliban weapons were also destroyed in the clash.
Another report says, Takhar police arrested two men on suspicion of robbery last night.
Takhar police spokesman Khalil Asir told BNA that the security officials arrested the two men while inspecting a security checkpoint in the first district of Taluqan.
According to the source, they also seized a motorcycle and a large amount of electrical equipment.
