ASF Pursuit Taliban from Qala-e-Now District, Badghis

Qala-e-Naw (BNA) The security forces announced the pursuit of the armed Taliban from Qala-e-Now center of Badghis.
The Taliban reportedly attacked parts of the city three times in the past two days, but the security forces is said to have been able to repel them.
However, parts of the city witnessed fierce fighting between the attackers and the security forces during these two days.
Badghis Governor Hussamuddin Shams told BNA that the security forces were able to completely clear Qala-e-Naw from the Taliban in the middle of last night.
He said more than 70 insurgents, including several Pakistani fighters, had been killed and dozens more wounded in the fighting.
Currently, the situation in the city of Qala-e-Naw is becoming normal.
Store owners are opening their stores and people have resumed their normal life.
Most of Badghis districts are under the control of the Taliban.
The governor of Badghis says that the operation to retake the lost parts of Badghis from the armed Taliban will begin soon.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
