Lashkargah (BNA) Ten Taliban insurgents were killed and six others wounded in a clash with the security forces in Helmand.
The clash took place this morning when a group of assailants attacked the security checkpoint of Lashkargah city in central Helmand.
Helmand police official told BNA that ten Taliban insurgents, including two Pakistani Taliban insurgents, were killed and six others were wounded in the clashes.
He said the security forces was inspecting the vehicles that were targeted by security troops.
According to another report, the security forces discovered and defused 21 mines and prevented a series of explosions in the busiest areas of Helmand.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
