Mehtarlam (BNA) The air and ground forces attacked on Taliban strongholds and convoys in Laghman.
Military officials say at least 50 Taliban members, including several Pakistani fighters, were killed and several others wounded in the attacks.
According to reports, from the beginning of last night the air and ground forces have carried out these attacks.
A senior Selab Corps official in east told BNA that 50 Taliban insurgents were killed and several others were wounded in the attacks.
He confirmed that several local commanders and Pakistani Taliban fighters were among the dead and wounded.
The attacks are said to have razed at least eight Taliban hideouts with all their weapons.
The Taliban have not yet commented in this regard.
