Blast at Home of Ethnic Leader Left Six Injured

Mazar-e-Sharif (BNA) As a result of a bomb blast in Mazar-e-Sharif city in central Balkh, six children of an ethnic leader were wounded.

According to reports, a bomb has been planted in the car of a tribal elder from Farah and exploded at night, when the car was stopped inside the house of this tribal elder.

Balkh police spokesman Adel Shah Adel told BNA that six sons of Gol Agha Ethnic leader was wounded in the blast.

The bomb was apparently operated remotely.

Doctors at Balkh Central Hospital in Mazar-e-Sharif reported that the health condition of at least four injured children are critical.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
