Farah (BNA) Construction work on a canal began in Zorya village, Farah province yesterday.
Mullah Abdul Salam Hijrat, head of Farah Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, told BNA correspondent, the canal would be built at a cost of 96 million Afghanis from UNICEF financial office in Zorya village, Farah.
Mawlavi Noor Mohammad Rouhani, the governor of Farah, at the inauguration of the project, said: “This canal is 2500 meters long and will be divided into five parts and the residents of five villages will benefit from its water.”
