Maimana (BNA) Police of Faryab security commandment yesterday evening prevented from detonation of a car full of explosives in front of the entrance gate of Shirin Tagab district.
Mohammad Karim Yurash, head of Faryab police chief, press office told BNA that armed Taliban using a car loaded with explosives to target the Shirin Tagab district, but security personnel identified the car before it reached the target.
According to another report a number of Taliban insurgents have been killed in clashes by security forces in Shirin Tagab district of Faryab.
Faryab police spokesman said the Taliban were forced to retreat after suffering casualties.
