Faizabad (BNA) Eight people were martyred when a car overturned in Badakhshan.
Nik Mohammad Nazari, Badakhshan governor’s spokesman, told BNA that the car, which was traveling from Taqasab village in Arghanjkhah district to Faizabad city, deviated from the road and as a result, eight passengers were martyred.
He said three women and a child were among the dead.
He added that nine other occupants were injured in the accident.
The injured are said to have been taken to a provincial hospital and are being treated.
He attributed the overturning of the car to the narrow width of the road and the carelessness of the driver.
