Kabul (BNA) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah Chairman of High Council for National Reconciliation met Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan at Dushanbe today.
During the meeting, both sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
In the meeting, President Rahmon reiterated his country’s full support for peace and stated that peace and stability in Afghanistan is peace and stability in the region & beyond.
Dr. Abdullah and President Rahmon also discussed activities of various terrorist groups that pose threat to stability in Afghanistan and other countries of the region and agreed to intensify the joint fight against this negative phenomenon.
At the end, the two sides outlined sectors like transportation, trade, medicine, science, culture and education as areas, which could drive the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
