Consignment of Pakistani-Made Explosives Discovered in Laghman

Mehtarlam (BNA) National security officials announced the discovery of a large shipment of Pakistani-made explosives in Laghman yesterday.

Laghman security official in east of the country told BNA that seven hundred and fifty kilograms of explosives devices were seized from the shipment.

A man was arrested in connection with the shipment.

According to reports, the shipment had just entered from Pakistan to Afghanistan and was to be made available to individuals affiliated with the Taliban.

National security officials say the explosives were made with high destructive power.

The arrested man in the first investigation said he had loaded the explosives from Pakistan and smuggled it into Afghanistan among commercial goods.

The Taliban import most of their explosives from Pakistan to Afghanistan, where they make bombs, mines and suicide vests, and use it in their attacks in the country.
