COVID-19 Second Wave: 121 Additional Cases Reported in Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) reported 121 new positive cases of COVID-19 from 873 samples tested in Afghanistan within the last 24 hours.

According to BNA report, 12 patients have died due to coronavirus, while 349 others have recovered within the last 24 hours in the country.

With this, the total cases are now 45,963, the total reported deaths are 1,725 and total recoveries are 36,644 in Afghanistan.

Officials in Ministry of Public Health reported that 7,505 active cases of COVID-19 among patients at under their care as Saturday morning in Afghanistan and 93 patients are in critical conditions.

It is mentionable that until now 146,413 samples of coronavirus has been tested in laboratories of the ministry across the country, the officials added.

COVID-19 global toll has increased to 61,710,737 and the deaths are reported to more than 1,443,694 according to John Hopkins’ global dashboard.
