Deputy of MoIC: Time is More Suitable than ever for the Growth of Tourism & Industry in the Country

KABUL (BNA) Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Finance and Tourism of Ministry of Information and Culture, chaired a coordination meeting today between entrepreneurs in order to develop handicrafts.

In the meeting, which was attended by officials and representatives of relevant institutions and women entrepreneurs and industry, the Deputy of ministry of culture said: Afghanistan has a rich culture and we should not only care about handicrafts and culture Spiritually we must pay attention to its values, He added that, compared to any other time, suitable conditions have been created for the growth of the tourism industry, handicrafts and culture in general in the country.

Deputy, finance and tourism mentioning the growth of handicrafts said we can show the original identity and culture of Afghanistan inside and outside the country and on the other hand play a positive role in economic growth, He also said that the demands and suggestions of entrepreneurs, especially women in the labor industry and entrepreneurs, will be considered in coordination with the relevant institutions.

Later, Hafez Nematullah Montazer, the director of the Ministry of Information and Culture, said in his speech that the director of the ministry is working to hold handicraft fairs and solve the problems of women in the labor industry.

Afterward, Mohammad Younis Momand, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said that the development of industry in Afghanistan will lead to economic progress in the country.

He added that providing a safe environment for businessmen is important, and stressed that they are working for economic growth and a suitable work environment for business men and women. Also speaking at the meeting were Rahimullah Samand, head of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, Atiqullah Muslim, advisor to the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and Mufti Esmatullah Borhan, spokesman for the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, respectively. They considered the role of industry, trade, agriculture and livestock as well as mining important in the economic growth and development of the country and called for more attention of the officials of the Islamic Emirate in this regard.

Similarly, Roya Hafizi, and Wahida Shirzad, women in the labor industry, spoke about their plans for labor growth and the work of women in the industry. They noted that women can now work in the Islamic context, especially in trade and industry, and contribute to the country’s economic development.

They also expressed their wishes and suggestions for the growth of the activities of businesswomen and the labor industry, and called for the solution of the problems and their support from the leadership of the Islamic Emirate.
