Deputy PM for Political Affairs Meets Director of Operations at ICRC

Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), chaired by Dominik Stillhart, director of operations of (ICRC), this morning.
During the meeting, Dominik Stillhart briefed on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s activities in the areas of health, agriculture and prisons, saying that the organization did not leave Afghanistan during the new developments and continued its activities.
Dominik Stillhart added that the International Committee of the Red Cross has good relations with the Ministry of Public Health, the Afghan Red Crescent and other relevant institutions of the Islamic Emirate and wants to further strengthen its services and activities.
“We are expanding our activities and humanitarian assistance in line with our commitment to the people of Afghanistan,” Stillhart added.
On the other hand, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Political Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan thanked the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) director of operations and his accompanying delegation for their charitable activities in the health, agriculture and other fields in Afghanistan.
He added that Afghanistan is in dire need of humanitarian assistance and that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, will provide the necessary facilities to all charities.
