Dozens Agricultural Projects Put Into Utilization in Uruzgan

Trinkot (BNA) Dozens of agricultural projects were put into operation in Uruzgan.

These projects include dozens of onion and potato warehouses, special apple and pomegranate storage warehouses and fruit drying machines, which have been built in Tirinkot city and a number of Uruzgan districts this year.

Ahmad Shah Khairi, Uruzgan’s director of agriculture, told BNA that so far this year, 57 projects have been implemented at a cost of nearly 33 million Afghanis.

He also announced the establishment of workshops for farmers and gardeners in Uruzgan this year.

In these workshops, gardeners and peasants have learned new methods of cultivation.

The director of Uruzgan Agriculture said that they will implement dozens of projects next year to boost agriculture.

However, farmers and gardeners welcomed the construction of warehouses to store their onions, potatoes and fruits in Uruzgan, calling it a boom in their work.
