Dozens of Taliban Insurgents Killed in Helmand

Lashkargah (BNA) Dozens of Taliban insurgents were killed and eight others wounded in clashes with security troops in Helmand.
The clashes took place last night in Nad Ali, Nawa and Nahrsaraj districts.
Atal Corps’ media office in south of the country said in a press release that the fighting took place following a Taliban attack on military bases and convoys.
The corps confirmed that thirty-nine Taliban insurgents had been killed and eight others wounded in the fighting.
According to another report, the security forces prevented a series of explosions in Helmand by detecting and neutralizing 33 mines.
No one has been arrested in connection with the bombings.
