Kabul (BNA) As many as 89 anti-government militias were killed and 82 more were wounded by Afghan security forces in 11 provinces within the last 24 hours.
Ministry of National Defense by releasing a statement reported, the terrorists have been targeted in different parts of Kunar, Kandahar, Herat, Farah, Faryab, Samangan, Helmand, Nimroz, Takhar, Kunduz and Kapisa provinces.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions and military equipment belonged to the terrorists have been demolished by Afghan security forces.
Meanwhile, Afghan security troops by discovering and neutralizing 13 round of different type of mines succeeded to prevent several deadly incidents.
The mines have planted by Taliban members to target innocent civilians and Afghan security forces, local official said.
