Kabul (BNA) Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture appreciated some athletes and artists of the country.
BNA correspondent reported, at the gathering held for this purpose by the office of deputy minister for youth affairs Dr. Raheen said that Afghan youth (both boys and girls) are gaining success in all spheres despite the limitations, economic strains and traditional impediments.
He added that yesterday our Cricket team under 19 years beat the Malaysian cricket team and the football team and Taekwondo teams have attained considerable successes.
He also mentioned of the success achieved by the Pamir groups in Samarqand festival as well the art troupe of musical institute who by launching of a concert in Washington attracted the attention of the people towards them.
At this festival the artists of the country got first place among 54 artistic groups.
