Drinking Water Provided to Hundreds of Families in Zabul

Qalat (BNA) With the construction of a water supply network, water provided for hundreds of families in Zabul.

UNICEF spent two million Afghanis to build the network.

The network was built in a village called Kaj Bazaar in Shahr-e-Safa district, where its residents have not yet had access to safe drinking water. An official from Zabul Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department told BNA that with the construction of the network, 300 families had access to safe drinking water for the first time.

Villagers in the Safa district of Zabul welcomed the construction of these water supply networks and said that they used to suffer from diseases due to the use unhealthy water.
