Jalalabad (BNA) A consignment of narcotic drugs to Pakistan was prevented
Police in Nangarhar have arrested a man who tried to smuggle hundreds kilograms of heroin to Pakistan from Goshta district near the Durand Line.
The detainee had skillfully packed the drugs in a car.
Nangarhar security official told BNA that the detained man confessed to trying to smuggle drugs to Pakistan.
According to another source, 16 people were arrested in Nangarhar on suspicion of involvement in criminal offenses.
Police say, the men are charged with theft, kidnapping, robbery, drug trafficking and undocumented weapons.
The men were arrested overnight in the city and a number of Nangarhar districts.
