Economic Committee of Minister’ Council Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) The economic committee of Ministers Council with the vice president Mohammad Karim Khalili on the chair held meeting on Tuesday.
According to BNA, in the meeting, the issue of payment of remaining prices of the residential plots for the retired personnel of defense ministry came under discussion and the envoy of defense ministry at the meeting said that the Ministers’ council in 1386 approved land distribution to the retired personnel at the cost of two years of their pension.
He also added that for some 33,000 retired personnel the land has been given due to shortage of budget. However, it was decided to distribute land to the retired personnel at a cost of 2.6 billion Afghani provided from the budget of defense ministry. In the meeting the Chamber of Commerce and Industries presented its report on survey about the obstacles on the way of creating job opportunities, saying that shortage of energy, lack of security and corruption are the main obstacle in the way for investment in the country.
The ministry for economy presented its report on the modalities of exemption of construction companies about the payment of residential or agricultural lands and the committee endorsed the decision of the economic committee of the ministers’ council dated on 17/10/1392.
