Group of 26 Anti-Government Insurgents Join Peace Process In Samangan

Aibak (BNA) A group of 26 Taliban militants have been joined peace process in Samangan province.
Gen. Azizulrahman Mayel head of National Security Directorate in Samangan told BNA, the group members led by Mullah Mohammad Karim known as commander Tofan were involved in terrorist and destructive activities and planting road side mines since three years ago in various parts of Samangan province.
Qari Mohammad Nasir deputy of Mawlavi Jalaluddin shadow governor of Taliban for Samangan province is also among the group, Mayel added.
Twenty-two light weapons of the group have been submitted to Disbandment Illegal Armed Group (DIAG) of Samangan province, Mayel concluded.
Mohammad Hashim Zareh governor of Samangan said, with the joining of the 26 militants in peace process and returning of normal life the security situation will improve in the province and we try to provide occupation for the returning men.
