Wednesday October 24, 2018

Kabul (BNA) Second Vice-President, Mohammad Sarwar Danesh urged both electoral commissions to safeguard the people votes, BNA reported.
Addressing the World Standards Day meeting at the Council of Ministers Palace, Danesh asked the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) to make effort for well distinguishing fake votes from those correct and assess electoral violations and the people complaints through a transparent process. He asked the government armed oppositions to reach power through free political competition, rather to using arm and launching suicide and explosion. The Vice-President also asked the IEC to get preparation to soon hold election in Kandahar and Ghazni provinces. Danesh asked the officials of Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) to carry out their responsibility based on the law. Endorsed by the Council of Ministers (CM), the ANSA was established in 2007, with the standards law readjusted in 2017. According Danesh, the ANSA, since getting operational, has codified up to 585 national standards and six national construction codes in 11 sectors and has had wide activities in the field of awareness and publicity and in relation with the national and regional organization.
