KABUL (BNA): The first aid batch announced earlier by China worth $7.5 million carrying in two charter planes arrived in Kabul on Monday said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s officials thanking the country.
Zabihullah Mujahid the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Spokesman said on his Twitter handle, that the two Chinese planes carrying clothing and other essential items arrived in Kabul and will be delivered to Paktika and Khost earthquake victims.
In the meantime, officials at the Ministry of Disaster Management said that the aid including blankets, tents, and convertible beds has been handed over by the Chinese embassy in Kabul on Monday.
Ambassador Wany Yu in Kabul on his Twitter page said 6 more cargoes of humanitarian planes would arrive within 3 days plus cash assistance has been raised for the needy.
Meanwhile, the Chinese authorities at the Mes Aynak contractor company say as a series of their aid the first batch including flour, rice, and cooking oil has been delivered to the quake-stricken sites, on Monday.
China, Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Qatar are those countries who delivered humanitarian aid to south-east earthquake victims so far.
Despite the fact that some number of countries delivered aid but humanitarian aid officials in the governmental and non-governmental organs asserted that more aid is needed to revitalize the lives lost in the community where the powerful earthquake struck.
