CM Meeting: Tashkent Conference Hoped To Find Solution For Afghan Peace

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah chaired Council of Ministers meeting at Sapidar Palace yesterday.
Congratulating the new solar year 1397 to Afghan nation, the Chief Executive hoped the new year bring peace to the country.
Pointing to Tashkent Conference on Peace in Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah hoped the conference could find solution to peace in Afghanistan which is the long-awaited wish of the Afghan nation.
Congratulating the beginning of the new school year in Afghanistan and hinting to importance of the education, the Chief Executive said the new school year was named after education, adding development and reform in education sector was meaning development of Afghanistan.
Pointing to ending of tensions in Balkh province, Dr. Abdullah said Atta Mohammad Noor has served the province during his tenure and congratulated Mohammad Ishaq Rahguzar as the new governor of Balkh province.
The Chief Executive also congratulated the Afghan nation over victory of the Afghan Cricket Team and its qualification to ICC 2019 World Cup.
Meanwhile based on the agenda, the session continued with security reports of the line ministries, ministry of finance report on budget consumption within last three months and ministries of mines and petroleum and refugee and repatriation’s reports of activities.
The Chief Executive applauded efforts of the security organs for safety and security of the citizens.
Meanwhile Dr. Abdullah hinted to investments in mining sector, saying there were no investments made on mining sector in the country in recent years, hoping the new steps taken to be effectively implemented.
