Kabul (BNA) The United States strongly condemned the latest attack in Afghanistan's capital city on Thursday and expressed its support of the country's government and citizenry. The White House, in a statement, called the suicide bombing outside a cultural and social center in Kabul a "barbaric attack" and offered "its deepest condolences to the victims and their families.
The attack, which the so-called Islamic State claims credit for, killed at least 41 and injured 80 people.
The White House pledged to stand "firmly with the government and people of Afghanistan and will work closely with the National Unity Government to bring the perpetrators of this heinous attack to justice."
