Kabul (BNA) Herat representative at the National Assembly as well as some youth of the province in their meeting with President Karzai emphasized on measures for improving security in Herat province.
At the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, Masoud Ferough, Najibullah Ahmadi, Nessar Ahmad Musadeq and some others spoke at the meeting touching on bringing about of positive change in the security, completion of construction work on Herat University buildings, attention towards industrial park and on acceleration of wok on the Salma Dam.
They also emphasized on employment of Herati cadres at the government positions.
President Karzai after hearing their demands assured them that the government has already taken measures towards improving security in the province.
As regards the Salma Dam the president said that it is an important project and added that he has instructed the national security organs to suppress those who prevent work on the Salma Dam.
He also said that Herati cadres will be assigned in the government positions after free competition by the administrative reforms department.
