President Decree Eases MPs, Government Officials’ Meetings

Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani met with administrative panel and some members of the Wolesi Jirga (Lower House) that were also accompanied by their families here at the presidential palace on Monday night, a statement said yesterday.
At the outset, President’s spokesman Sediq Sediqi readout presidential decree easing regular meetings of the MPs with top government officials, the press office of the present said.
WJ First Deputy Amir Khan Yar and MP Shah Gul Rezayee thanked president’s decree and meeting with the families of the MPs, calling successful holding of the presidential election key to institutionalizing of democracy in the country, the statement added.
Meanwhile the president praised MPs’ efforts for cooperation with government, adding regular meetings would be held with house members.
The president went on saying that coordination among the three forces were essential to safeguard the republic in the country, adding the forces needed to work for strengthening of republic, ensuring peace and citizens’ rights.
Hinting to rule of law in the country, the president said peace was the main priority for people and government, adding there would be no winner in the war, but that of the Afghan forces and government was not ready to deal with the constitution.
The president emphasized on three forces coordination and cooperation for development of the country, the statement added.
