NPC Approves 19 Contracts

Kabul (BNA) The National Procurement Commission in its meeting with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on the chair here in Arg yesterday discussed 25 contracts concerning series of projects of different ministries and entities endorsed 19 contracts worth more than 2.7 billion Afghanis which 87 million Afghanis have been saved.
In the meeting the hajj process and its expenditure were also discussed and officials with the ministry for hajj and auqaf and Ariana Airliner Company presented their reports to the national procurement commission. After listening the report, the president instructed the ministry for hajj and auqaf to do its best to provide all facilities and camps for Afghan hajjis with cheap prices. Moreover, the ministry for hajj and auqaf and Ariana Airliner Company were asked to present their financial expenditure report with regard to hajj process to the Chief Executive in a separate meeting. President Ghani also instructed concerned authorities to resume the work for the completion of project for Khost Airport. The minister for education also presented his report about abandoning the work of 110 school buildings and sought instruction and president instructed the ministries of education and finance to complete the projects. In the meeting, the second vice president Sarwar Danesh and chief executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, ministers for finance, justice and economy attended the meeting. The national procurement commission during its 31 weekly meetings has approved 440 contracts worth 69 billion Afghanis and thus has saved more than 9 billion Afghanis.
