Kabul (BNA) In Senate’s session held yesterday, Senators Shir Mohammad Akhundzada and Nimatullah Popal while briefing related to deadly incident of Helmand’s Sangin district said nearly 36 civilians including women and children had been martyred and more than 60 others injured by shelling a mortar by ANA forces stationed in the district.
Following, senators in the session condemned the incident and while offering their sympathies to the victims’ families wished patience to the remained and urgent recovery to those injured in the incident. They also asked for fact-finding of the incident. Meanwhile, senators in the session expressed their concern over lack of coordination between ANP and ANA and insecurities in Nangarhar and Kapisa provinces.
