KABUL (BNA) officials at the department of Laghman province say that 12 agricultural development projects have been put into exploitation in Laghman.
The projects include the construction and rehabilitation of water dams, canals, water reservoirs, and retaining walls, which have been implemented in the Alishang and Alingar districts of Laghman province.
The projects have been funded by the International Food and Agriculture Organizations (FAO).
The provincial head of Laghman, agriculture department, Mawlavi Muhammad Wali Muhseen told BNA that by inaugurating these projects, hundreds of acres of farmlands have been provided with the needed water, as well as tens of residential houses and acres of agricultural land have been protected from the danger of floods.
With the inauguration of these projects, job opportunities were provided for thousands of Laghman residents said an agriculture official.
