Japan; A Sincere Friend of Afghans: Dr. Abdullah

Kabul (BNA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah met with Japanese ambassador at his residence yesterday afternoon.
According to BNA, in the meeting, congratulating formation of NUG and holding CEO post to Dr. Abdullah, the Japanese ambassador described Afghanistan as one of the major priorities in foreign policy of Japan and briefed him on his country’s assistance in the last few years to Afghanistan. The Japan ambassador added that we consider formation of NUG as a good step for Afghanistan and promise to continue our aids and assistance to the Afghan people and government. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah addressed Japan as the sincere and old friend of Afghan people and appreciated its assistance to Afghan people in hard conditions. Dr. Abdullah added, Japan is the second biggest donor of the Afghan government and the Afghan people would never forget its assistances.
