Kabul (BNA) President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani congratulated Donald J. Trump and the people of the United States of America on behalf of the government and people of Afghanistan on election of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America, according to a statement from his office the other day.
President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan says that the United States of America is an essential and important strategic partner to Afghanistan in development of the country and fighting terrorism. The government of Afghanistan hopes that in close cooperation with the new President of the United States, relations between the two countries expand further and develop in a way that is in the interest of the two countries and nations.

According to another report, Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer said he would like to congratulate the American people for the successful election and Mr. Donald Trump for becoming the forty-fifth president elect of the United States, his office in a statement.
“Afghanistan and the United States are strategic allies and friends. Combating extremism and efforts to bring peace and stability are the top priorities of both countries,” said the statement. With Mr. Trump’s victory, the Chief Executive of Afghanistan expects the strength and expansion of strategic economical, military, social and cultural cooperation between the two countries between the two countries. The Chief Executive of Afghanistan wishes good luck to Mr. Trump, his administration and the people of the United States.
